What is a Mochi Donut?
Originating in Japan, the mochi donut is made of glutinous rice (mochi) flour. It is soft, chewy, crispy and airy, not too sweet, and very light. It is shaped like a flower, with 8 little balls that you can easily tear apart. It's a lot of fun to eat and share.
Isabella's mochi donuts are made with the freshest ingredients, with no preservatives. We suggest that you serve the donuts within a few hours of receiving them.
Note: these donuts contain gluten, eggs and dairy. They don't contain peanuts or other nuts, and are made in a nut-free facility (though not certified).
About Isabella's
Isabella's, a family-friendly Japanese restaurant beloved by the Toronto Beaches neighbourhood, is named after the daughter of owners Cecilia and David Noon. In 2018, the restaurant started offering mochi donuts, which were eagerly devoured by Torontonians. Today, Isabella's makes thousands of donuts everyday, and takes pride in being Canada's leading maker of mochi donuts.
