Laska Nerysoo created Designs by Laska to share her passion for Indigenous art.

Raised in between Inuvik and Aklavik, this mother of two energetic boys creates home-felt pieces reminiscent of a childhood spent in her mother's craft room. Her work is rich with sense memory, from the smell of the wood she uses to the delightfully tactile details of the designs. Laska believes that it’s time for Indigenous artists to break down every wall that has been put in their paths and be proud of who they are.
